Feb 01:     Weak arguments need the support of a raised voice.

Feb 02:      There is no action replay in life but you can rewrite the remaining script.

Feb 03:     *Proving it has nothing to hide, the government must immediately agree to a Joint Parliamentary Committee for looking into L'affaire Adani. The Adani Group has lost its battle of perception, let the government also not lose its own.

** This is the most opportune time to completely ban investment in Indian corporates by shell companies in various tax havens.

* Political funding should be cleaned up; when companies can not vote in elections, they ought to be barred from making donations to political parties.

Feb 04:     'Ifs' and 'buts' are essential parts of life but it progresses only with 'I cans'.

Feb 05:     It is up to the executive not to allow the judiciary to encroach upon its territory but for that the executive has to be at least active, if not pro-active.

Feb 06:     It is wrong to say that there is only one Supreme Court in India because every bench of two, three, five, seven or even more judges acts as a separate Supreme Court. Here, it is not the like the US Supreme Court which has only one bench of all nine judges.

Feb 07:     You keep up with the Joneses at the cost of your individuality; is it not too high a price to pay?

Feb 08:     It is better not to have an ambition than having one but not striving to achieve it.

Feb 09:     Success beckons you but by dragging your feet, you may not get there in your life time.

Feb 10:     Was the political class sleeping when the Supreme Court, in its exalted wisdom, had ruled in the Second Judges Case, 1993, that in Article 124 (2) of the Constitution, the word 'consultation' had meant 'concurrence'?

Feb 11:     What an irony that the most positive aspect of human behaviour - non-violence - is spelled as a negative word!

Feb 27:     The level of political discourse has gone down so much in India that one wonders whether there is a difference anymore between such a democracy and anarchy.

Feb 28:     When an appeal against the bail refusal by a district court can be heard by the Supreme Court within 24 hours, will it not be a better idea not to waste the district court's time in the first place and approach the highest court directly?
