Kanan Jaswal's Thoughts of the Days of November 2022
Nov 01: Don't you ever share your vision with those not able to see beyond their noses.
Nov 02: Learn more and earn more so that you can teach more and give more.
Nov 03: Power not used to protect others tends to turn tyrannical.
Nov 04: The powerful need be protected, from themselves.
Nov 05: Without society's equal and active participation, the government cannot succeed in the exercise of rooting out corruption.
Nov 06: We should think thoughts worth thinking if we want to live a life worth living.
Nov 07: Instead of treating time as your competitor you have to race against, you should treat it as your biggest ally which makes all your efforts possible.
Nov 08: If you are truthful in your self-talk, you will never be in danger of going off your moorings.
Nov 09: We Indians want to see India become a great nation but are we, in any manner, contributing our own bit, big or small, towards this end?
Nov 10: Make it a habit to keep your promises and experience pure happiness, even bliss.
Nov 11: Notwithstanding their pious promises, how can and why should the judges appointed by other judges violating the letter and spirit of India's Constitution be trusted to protect and uphold the same Constitution?
Nov 12: Crossing your mental Rubicon is no guarantee of a great success but it is guaranteed that you cannot achieve great success without that.
Nov 13: Leaning on any country is not an option for India simply because it is too big and weighty for that.
Nov 14: Not wanting to do something is never good enough reason not to do that.
Nov 15: Only at grave peril to themselves, the democracies can entertain the thought that Communist China can ever be sweet-talked into abandoning its relentless march to world domination.
Nov 16: If you think your close friends know you really well, do a reality check and you will realise that they don't.
Nov 17: Had our ancestors not thought of bad luck, what would we mostly blame for our losses and failures?
Nov 18: Mere talent cannot make you great but what you build with it can.
Nov 19: Politics should be declared a no-go territory for those prone to putting both their feet in their mouths while speaking in public.
Nov 20: Just as illegal aliens are liable to be deported if charged with a crime, those indicted for terrorism or other anti-state activities should be liable to have their illegally built houses, etc., demolished.
Nov 21: There should be no rights, except the right to life, for people not paying their taxes properly.
Nov 22: When there are no castes among Muslims and Christians, how can anyone even think of extending to them the benefit of reservation in jobs and admission to educational institutions available to the members of the Scheduled castes and other backward castes?!
Nov 23: By boldly facing criticism and clearly explaining your position, you not only show respect to yourself but also to your critics, which is a must for any civilised society. Nov 24:
Nov 24: True happiness lies in doing, with all sincerity. your duty to yourself, to your family, society, and nation, and also to the earth.
Nov 25: Our real education begins when we have learnt to learn.
Nov 26: The goodness of a good thought lingers on in the mind for some time and nurtures it.
Nov 27: Mindfulness may not work without heartfulness.
Nov 28: Always give careful consideration to what your intuition tells you, then, of course, it is up to you to go with it or not.
Nov 29: Absolute power wielded by a few is the death knell of a democracy even if they are dressed in black gowns.
Nov 30: If you approach anything with a learning attitude, you are bound to learn something of value.
