Kanan Jaswal's Thoghts for the Days of March 2021

Mar:    By punching above our weight, we give a chance to our reserves of strength and fortitude to come to the fore, and surprise even us.

Mar:
Some adjustment may be good but too much of it and you are reduced to a bonsai of yourself.

Mar:
For making available COVID-19 vaccines to us so quickly, we should be grateful to research scientists who squeezed years into months, manufacturers who committed billions of dollars to pre-approval production, hundreds of thousands of volunteers for clinical trials who risked their lives to help humanity, also national governments who whole-heartedly supported the entire effort.

Mar:
By donating our time or money or both to furthering noble causes, we get the satisfaction and peace of mind not easily got otherwise.

Mar:     Meditation is the period of thoughtlessness between two thoughts.

Mar:     Sports don't make us physically fit; in fact, we have to be physically fit to be able to practise sports. But regularly practising sports does make us more equanimous.

Mar:     Instead of spreading ourselves too thin, we should take up only a few things and be fully involved in them.

Mar:     Our viewpoints generally determine our views.

Mar:     Verifying helps in both the situations, either it would deepen your trust or tell you the trust was misplaced.

Mar:     Criticise with a view to correct, and not with a view to condemn.

Mar:     Discipline and focus are our true allies when the odds are stacked against us.

Mar:     Managing dissent is an essential skill for leadership.

Mar:     Celebrate all your successes, even the small ones, because everytime you do that, you reaffirm your faith in yourself.

Mar: Life turns into drudgery for those who can't be enthusiastic about anything.

Mar: Truth does not any adornment and the most embellished lie is still ugly.

Mar: Step out and smell nature; give it a chance to reinvigorate you, even renew you.

Mar:    Take a bow to yourself if you are able to practise what you preach.

Mar:     We should be grateful to those we are donating to because they have given us a reason and an opportunity to feel useful, to feel good.

mar:     Beyond a point, things start owning us instead of we owning them. At the first sign of that, throw them out and get your life back.

Mar:     Think good, think big, and think great; over time, it will rub off on your actions.

Mar:    We create our own heaven and hell, and choose, from time to time, in which to live.

Mar:     Mostly, we will be able to find what we seriously and sincerely seek.

Mar:     If you are not prepared to pay the price for your principles, you might as well not have them.

Mar:     Every new born encompasses in her or him a whole new world of possibilities.

Mar:     Sometimes, we can benefit much more from unsolicited advices than from those costing us ethe shirt on our back.

Mar:     Whatever we do is through our mind and body, naturally then, keeping them in the best possible working condition should be our first duty.

Mar: Let us live, and not just not die.

Mar: Anyone can be creative while in the zone, but those who have trained themselves to be so most of the times can become great authors, artists, innovators, or scientists.

Mar: Never end a friendship, even of the Facebook kind, following a disagreement, howsoever acrimonious, on an inconsequential matter.

Mar: More important than the length of a message are its breadth and depth.

Mar: We owe it to ourselves and to our nation to increase our comprehensive individual power and use it for our own and the nation's advancement.
