Kanan Jaswal's Thoughts for the Days of April 2020
Apr: Your values are your roots; let them go deep and grow extremely strong so that even life's worst storms may not fell you.
Apr: O God, grant me my greatest wish - a death with a joke on my lips and a laugh in my eyes!
Apr: All of us started out as a dot; after so much physical growth, we have stopped growing bigger but, mentally and spiritually, we can and should keep on growing ceaselessly.
Apr: Deadlines can force you to be creative but they take away the sheer joy real creativity springs forth from.
Apr: Every moment we have the power to decide whether to make that moment beautiful or ugly.
Apr: Only by growing to our fullest potential, we can do real service to humanity.
Apr: Being present in the present moment is doing meditation all your waking hours.
Apr: When the pen of your creativity runs out of ink, pick up a pencil.
Apr: Our efforts and the play of market forces decide our net worth but our real worth is entirely our making.
Apr: How can we run the marathon of life with so much baggage of the past weighing us down?
Apr: COVID-19 scare has curbed our physical freedom but we are still free to let our spirits soar.
Apr: The path to the top may be very crowded but if we are absolutely determined to get there, people would stand aside and let us pass.
Apr: You can be happy without smiling but you can't be unhappy while smiling.
Apr: If success evades us yet again, there must be something in us which militates against success. Let us find it out and deal with it before it can sense another success and abort that as well.
Apr: More than the faculty of speech, it is the will power which sets man apart from other animals.
Apr: Those who can turn someone's yawn into a laughter will never be short of friends.
Apr: We should do everything, howsoever small or big, mindfully and not mechanically if we want to improve all the time.
Apr: By remembering or recounting an unpleasant incident, we relive it and get its pain all over again.
Apr: In order to be creative, one must come to terms with their aloneness.
Apr: Are you there for others when they need you? Be there, it will do you more good than to them.
Apr: If being creative saps your energy, think, what else energy is for.
Apr: Fairness and total transparency in all money matters is the first lesson in the book of honesty.
